Much like the Browns, the 49ers are going through turbulence in the quarterback department now that Colin Kaepernick has requested a trade. Garoppolo could be on the 49ers’ radar in the coming days and weeks.

Blaine Gabbert, the 49ers’ top option at quarterback besides Kaepernick, is not franchise quarterback material. Just ask any Jacksonville Jaguars fan. Garoppolo, on the other hand… well, he could be. It’s the potential of Garoppolo combined with his two years of studying and learning under the best quarterback of all-time which could entice a team like the 49ers to roll the dice.

No one is going to give up a first round pick for an unproven arm, but the 49ers may consider throwing the Patriots their second round or third round pick.

For Garoppolo, it would be pretty poetic to start for the team that Brady grew up dreaming to play for. It would be a funny full-circle thing.
