Outside linebacker
- Von Miller
- Bruce Irvin
Honorable mention: Mark Barron, Tamba Hali
Inside linebacker
- Danny Trevathan
- Rolando McClain
Honorable mention: Vincent Rey, Demario Davis
Arguably the best defensive player in the NFL today, Miller will cash-in with the Broncos (unless pigs start falling from the sky) after logging one of the best defensive Super Bowl performances in history.
Miller’s teammate Trevathan, who recovered a fumble in Super Bowl 50, is also a desirable target at inside linebacker. It was actually Trevathan, not Miller, who the Patriots would love to sign if they could have one of the Broncos’ free agents.
Davis would be a slightly less exciting signing than Trevathan, but a good one nonetheless for the Patriots. That’s why he made it on to our list of AFC East veterans who the Patriots should mull over in 2016 NFL Free Agency.
