3. 2012 – Patriots 41, Texans 28

Before the Ravens avenged their loss in the 2011 AFC Championship Game a week after this game, the Patriots dismantled a Texans team that had gone 12-4 in the regular season and won the AFC South. Brady put forth one of his best performances in his 11 Divisional Round games, recording 344 yards and three touchdowns.

Patriots vs. Chiefs: Examining the running backs  

Rookie running back Shane Vereen showcased the pass catching ability out of the backfield that tempted the New York Giants to sign him this past offseason, snagging five balls for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Long-time NFL journeyman Brandon Lloyd caught Brady’s other touchdown, and Welker paced the receiving corps with 131 yards on eight receptions in his last victory as a Patriot.

Iron man Rob Ninkovich threw his offense a rope by making a sweet interception of Matt Schaub. The playoffs are a great time for defensive players to step up and force a turnover, and Nink did just that.
