It’s that time of the week. Power rankings from across the sports media world are out, and it’s Musket Fire’s turn to chime in. Because the nature of our site is fan-sided (after all, we are part of the FanSided network), it is part of our duty to criticize the opinions of mainstream sports personalities. This week, we are going to focus on the power rankings put together by Elliot Harrison of NFL.com, one of the leading power rankers in the footballverse.

In the pages ahead, you will see my own ranking with Harrison’s ranking listed. In addition to providing justification for my own ranking, I will comment on Harrison’s decisions as well.

Victorious Week 2 teams will tend to see increases compared to last week’s ranking, which you can see here. But just because a team wins, doesn’t mean they will be placed ahead of the loser (for example, I still think the Dolphins are better than the Jaguars even though Jacksonville beat them on Sunday).

Without any further ado, let’s get to it.
