All 32 NFL teams have played their first game of the 2015 regular season. There have been 16 winners and 16 losers, but in the grand scheme of things, we are still pretty clueless. But that won’t stop us from making the first evidence-based power rankings of the year.

If you’ve been keeping up with Musket Fire this summer, you have probably seen the power rankings we’ve been pumping out. They’ve been a great way to pass the time during preseason, and they serve as a basis for this edition.

0-1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 32. player. 48.
If it makes Buccaneers fans feel any better, Jameis Winston isn’t the first rookie quarterback to throw a pick-six on his first career attempt; Brett Favre did it back in 1991 with the Falcons.

The Buccaneers have to be viewed as the worst team in the NFL right now, to put it bluntly. Lovie Smith’s seat is warming and will continue to rise in temperature with every double-digit loss the Bucs suffer through this season. And things aren’t going to get any easier over the rest of September, as the alarm clocks face a tough two-game road trip against two good football teams eager to repair themselves after Week 1 losses, New Orleans and Houston.
.
