New England Patriots: 6 players to watch tonight

1. Trey Flowers
Flowers made some noise in the preseason opener against Green Bay, executing a nifty move and leaping on top of Aaron Rodgers for the sack. It was notable enough for the official NFL Twitter account to post the video of the play.
Here are a few things Bill Belichick had to say about the player the Pats drafted 101st overall this spring:
"He’s an instinctive player. We’ve asked him to do a lot of different things. He’s played in the kicking game, which wasn’t something he did at Arkansas. He’s a tough kid. Works really hard. He seems to have a nose and instinct for the ball.” He plays with good leverage. He has longer arms. He uses his hands well and he did that on that play. He showed some acceleration to the quarterback.”"
If Flowers keeps playing like he did last Thursday night, then he will definitely make the team. As it stands right now, the Arkansas product is behind Chandler Jones, Rob Ninkovich and Jabaal Sheard on the depth chart along with fellow rookie defensive end Geneo Grissom.
As a Patriots fan, you have to like what you’re seeing out of Flowers thus far. He could very well be the future of the pass rush.
