Round 1, 32nd Overall: DL Malcom Brown

Roster chances: 9.98/10

Put your mortgage on Brown making the final roster. He was far too much of a steal at the end of the first round for the Patriots to even think about cutting him in August.

As Doug Kyed of NESN.com points out, Brown’s ability to play anywhere on the defensive line will allow the Patriots to get very creative with the rotation. Brown has to be viewed as more than just Vince Wilfork’s replacement, as he brings a fresh skill set to the table.

With Brown in the mix, the future of the Patriots’ interior defensive line looks very bright indeed. Brown joins promising 2014 first-round pick Dominique Easley, and veterans Alan Branch and Sealver Siliga are nothing to sneeze at either. Word around town is that Zach Moore has put on some weight and could also factor in to the interior line rotation.

Without a doubt, Brown was a great selection at No. 32 and will certainly make the team.
