Round Four, Pick 130: Charles Sims (RB, West Virginia)
After the first three rounds, things become a little less clear as to what they’ll do. I have the Patriots grabbing a running back here, and they have a number of nice options. I’m going to go with Charles Sims, and while it might be a bit of a stretch to think he’ll be at this spot in the fourth round, it’s not improbable. Sims gives the Patriots a second pass catching back behind Shane Vereen, so if Vereen goes down with another injury, they don’t have a massive hole in the offense, and it won’t limit them as much as last year. Sims has excellent agility and acceleration and really good hands, and while he will never be an every down back, he’s a great addition to an already very good stable of backs.
Other Options: RB Andre Williams, RB De’Anthony Thomas, RB Bishop Sankey
