In all professional sports, there is no shortage of superstitions or conspiracy theories surrounding the league and what they might want the current season to become, including the NFL. So it's unsurprising that there are already old posts being reexamined ahead of Super Bowl LX, and that the NFL might have tipped its cap to this year's participants back in September.
It's a pretty wild theory, considering both the Patriots and the Seahawks did not make the playoffs last year and have not sniffed a Super Bowl in quite some time, Seattle being removed from a Lombardi much longer, though.
However, one tweet from the official NFL account has been making waves again after the conclusion of the NFC Championship for one reason: an image that seems to have predicted the starting quarterbacks for this year's Super Bowl.
If you look at the front of the group, you'll notice Sam Darnold and Drake Maye are leading the way.

This is almost unbelievable, but the internet is forever and this image is still on the NFL's Twitter/X.
The NFL won't be able to live down the latest conspiracy theory for this year's Super Bowl
If anyone was told at the start of the 2025 season that the two teams in the Super Bowl would be the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, surely, no one would believe them.
Both were coming off seasons that resulted in no playoff run and stiff competition in their immediate division. The Seahawks had the Rams and 49ers chomping on their heels all season, while the Patriots were chasing the Bills for the AFC East crown.
Somehow, both teams managed to overcome the odds, win their respective divisions, and earn a ton of respect in the process. They'll now face each other in the biggest game of the season in two weeks, just like the NFL's preseason image seemed to point to.
It's a Super Bowl rematch from 11 years ago, with the Patriots coming out the victor due to a miraculous play by undrafted cornerback Malcolm Butler at the goal line.
The Seahawks will want to get revenge for stealing what could have been their second Super Bowl win in back-to-back seasons, while the Patriots will want to prove they are a legitimate team and one the league should fear, now that Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel are the new quarterback/head coach pair in New England.
