Despite falling into obscurity over the last five years, those who dislike the Patriots the most are back in action this season, as the team that recorded back-to-back seasons of 4 wins and 13 losses is at the top of the league again, holding the No. 2 seed going into the divisional round of the AFC playoffs.
That has stirred up plenty of drama for those outside New England, such as accusations that their schedule is so easy it explains why they're in their current position, or certain players, like Drake Maye, aren't actually that good.
Those kinds of conversations became even more heated after their win over the Chargers, particularly regarding a few rookies who struggled, like left tackle Will Campbell. But he, like most of his teammates, is not interested in what anyone has to say, especially since they got the win.
It's certainly the kind of mentality young players need going into such a big game early in their career.
Will Campbell shows the Patriots the attitude they need going into the divisional round vs. the Texans
When asked about the noise on social media throughout the season, but specifically after his less-than-stellar game last week, Campbell didn't mince words with what he had to say back to the loudest critics out there.

“I don’t give a shit what anyone says to be honest with you. It’s easy to type behind a twitter account that is fake… The Chargers, obviously I didn’t pitch a shutout. There’s 2 or 3 plays I wish I could have back. But, that’s… pic.twitter.com/4cmEfh7R7l

Given that he was lined up against some of the best defensive linemen in the league, Campbell fared much better than other rookies would in that position, and he understands what he needs to improve going into the game against the Texans.
He certainly doesn't need couch coaches telling him what he should or should not be doing.
This is the kind of attitude the Patriots will have to adopt because, unfortunately, they're not getting into the good graces of most in the media or fanbases who grew to hate them during the dynasty era.
Although there's a fair argument to be made that there are no players on the current roster who should be disliked for any reason, that hasn't changed the opinions of most Patriots' detractors, so they still won't give them any credit or applause for the impressive performance they've had this season.
Regardless, Campbell and his teammates have made it very clear this year that they're still living by the "ignore the noise" mantra the Patriots became known for, and that will inevitably help them no matter how far they go this postseason.
