The Patriots are headed back to Gillette Stadium in Week 13 to face an arch-nemesis from the past, the Indianapolis Colts. Their longtime rivalry has continued despite both teams' significant roster changes over the years, with New England not faring too well in recent times.

The most memorable of their matchups since Tom Brady left the team is their overseas game in Week 10 of the 2023 season. It is unfavorably remembered as the game that likely sealed Bill Belichick's fate in the eyes of Robert Kraft, as the Patriots' embarrassing effort in front of the German crowd was not what the team owner was hoping for.

It was also nearing the end of Mac Jones's tenure as the starting quarterback, and fortunately, this time around, they will have rookie Drake Maye under center to (hopefully) right the ship.

They should have a good chance to do that, as the Colts have not had a great season thus far either. They are, however, better than the Patriots at this point, as they sit with a 5-7 record coming into this game. And to make matters worse for them, they have already ruled out a handful of players that will only make quarterback Anthony Richardson's day more difficult.

Adrian Hill will be the head official for the Patriots' Week 13 matchup. He was on hand for their first game against the Dolphins earlier this season, when the Patriots benefitted from not racking up too many penalties, unlike how they played last week.

Hill came into the NFL in 2010, serving as a line and side judge that year and eventually being promoted to a referee in 2019.

So far this season, Hill and his crew have been almost 50/50 with their penalties on the home and away teams, which is good news for a flag-happy team like New England. But it won't matter if they continue to make pre-snap mistakes and make their jobs a lot more complicated than it needs to be, as we saw against the Dolphins last Sunday.
