Over the past couple of years, Patriots fans have noticed a shift in Tom Brady's attitude toward his favorite team, mainly since he became a full-time color commentator for FOX Sports, and that feeling has only heightened since he became a minority owner of the Raiders last year.

From his comments about Drake Maye not being the league-MVP and "not having skin in the game" when asked to pick a Super Bowl LX winner to the latest rumor of his involvement in the Maxx Crosby trade, there is plenty there for fans to get upset about, and if the latest suggestion is true, the 7-time Super Bowl Champion is going to continue losing support from his most loyal fans.

The Patriots were reportedly in on Crosby prior to the Raiders trading him to the Ravens for two first-round draft picks. And although they were unlikely to pay that price, they were still allegedly inquiring about a deal.

But apparently, there was no chance that they would ever reach an agreement with Las Vegas, at least according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Tom Brady's involvement in Maxx Crosby's trade has Patriots fans furious

The NFL insider revealed the detail in the aftermath of the blockbuster trade, revealing that one source told him, 'No way Tom [Brady] was sending Maxx to [Mike] Vrabel."

That's quite a statement, and there's little to back up why Brady wouldn't want to help his former team, or even entertain a trade conversation, especially if they could have been the highest bidder. It's not like the Raiders didn't want to send Crosby to another AFC team, since they sent him to the Ravens.

Perhaps the most befuddling is the idea that someone who owns only 5% of the team would have this much say in a trade of this magnitude. Would Mark Davis really allow Brady to have the final say, or even just shut down the possibility of a trade deal with a specific team?

It's kind of wild to consider that being factual, but it also plays very much into what Patriots fans have been feeling about the former quarterback. This is just the latest example of Brady appearing to have an anti-Patriots agenda for whatever reason.

If Bill Belichick were still around, maybe it would be more understandable. Or if there had been any reports of real tension between Brady and Robert Kraft, but there haven't been. So it's hard to fathom why he might feel or behave this way. But it is certainly worth keeping in mind in the future if Mike Vrabel and Co. ever get interested in a Raiders player.
