New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs continued what has been a stellar 2025 campaign for the 11-year veteran, as he helped propel the team to a 42-10 win over the New York Jets in Week 17 by hauling in six grabs for 101 yards and a touchdown.
It was the four-time Pro Bowler's fifth time topping 100 receiving yards in a game this season, making him just the third Patriots player ever to accomplish that feat, joining Rob Gronkowski (2011, 2015) and Wes Welker (2011, 2012).

With 970 receiving yards on the year and one game left on New England's schedule, Diggs is just 30 yards shy of becoming the team's first 1,000-yard pass catcher since Julian Edelman in 2019.
Meanwhile, Diggs' 82 catches in 2025 trail only Edelman and Jakobi Meyers for the most by a Patriot over the last six seasons.
Breaking down Stefon Diggs' dominant game vs. the Jets in Week 17
The Patriots had a depleted receiver group entering Sunday's matchup against New York, with Mack Hollins landing on injured reserve (abdomen) and Kayshon Boutte being ruled out (concussion protocol) prior to kickoff, but Diggs more than picked up the slack for his ailing teammates.
On his opening route of the game, Diggs came off the line of scrimmage and put Jets defensive back Brandon Stephens in a blender, quickly creating separation before making the catch across the middle and taking it up the field past the first down marker for a 12-yard gain.

Later in the contest, Diggs arguably made his best catch of the entire 2025 campaign, turning around to come back for a slightly underthrown ball by Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and pulling in the 31-yard reception over the helmet of Jets defensive back Qwan’tez Stiggers, all while staying in bounds along the sideline.

Diggs went on to add a touchdown to his stat line, catching a quick screen pass from Maye and then following his blockers into the end zone for a three-yard score on a 4th-and-goal situation for New England.
The play marked Diggs' 80th reception of the season, which earned him a $500,000 contract incentive for hitting that milestone.
Wow: Stefon Diggs made $500K with this touchdown catch.

He has 80 catches on the season.

Diggs' keeps team first mentality is exactly what the Patriots need after another big win
For the second week in a row, Diggs garnered the highest Pro Football Focus game grade out of anyone on the Patriots offense, as he's come up big in a pair of consecutive wins, which (along with a Buffalo Bills loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17) helped the team clinch the AFC East for the first time since 2019.
Following Sunday's victory over the Jets, though, Diggs deflected much of the praise towards his teammates. He noted he was "super proud" of the season his signal-caller Maye has put together, and compared his spectacular sideline catch to one made by Patriots tight end Austin Hooper earlier this year.
"I’m feeling like Austin Hooper, man, he made a hell of a catch earlier this year. I’m just trying to make plays, man. It won’t be my last catch, and hopefully we’ll watch it on tape and be like 'alright, that was good.'"Stefon Diggs
That pairing of exceptional on-field play and selfless leadership off the gridiron is what has made Diggs not only one of the Patriots' best offseason acquisitions but also looks to be putting him among this past spring's most valuable free agent pickups across the NFL in 2025.
