Unlike their season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals last week, the New England Patriots welcome the Seattle Seahawks to Gillette Stadium on Sunday with their game scheduled to be broadcast on Fox with a more little-known crew calling the action.

Kenny Albert is expected to voice the Week 2 game in the booth, and Jonathan Vilma will provide color commentary. Megan Olivi will be on the sidelines to give the latest updates from both teams.

Hopefully, it will be another great game to watch, and the Patriots will defy the odds once again. Their familiarity with the Seahawks would traditionally benefit them, but like New England, Seattle has undergone significant changes this offseason with the most notable being the departure of longtime head coach Pete Carroll.

It will be a game defined by the run game and how the defense responds, as seen by both teams last week, with Rhamondre Stevenson hoping to replicate his 120 rushing yards and a touchdown on his home turf this week.

Although it's not expected, as nearly every analyst has already decided the Seahawks will walk out of Foxboro with the win, it would be impressive for the Patriots to go 2-0 to start a season that was projected to be filled with more losses than wins. It's even more crucial this week, as they are scheduled to play the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football in a few days.

Referees for Seahawks vs. Patriots

The head referee in charge of the Seahawks and Patriots matchup will be 24-year veteran Carl Cheffers. Since becoming head judge in 2008, Cheffers has called 14 regular season Patriots games and was the guy in charge of their record-breaking comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI.

Since then, he has been the head referee for two Super Bowls: Super Bowl LV, when the Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, and Super Bowl LVII, when the Chiefs stole a win from the Philadelphia Eagles.

Throughout his career, Cheffers has been mainly down the middle, with penalties called on the home and away teams. But in recent years, his calls have favored the home team, which might benefit the Patriots this weekend.
