Where will the New England Patriots pick when the 2025 NFL Draft rolls around next April in Green Bay? That’s the million-dollar question.

The Pats drafted their quarterback of the future in Drake Maye, but it could take some time for him to lead the turnaround. There is a solid chance that New England will be picking in the top 10 once again in 2025. Where in the top 10 remains to be seen.

Here are three 2025 prospects that could find their way to Foxboro via next year’s draft:

Way too early 2025 Mock Draft: 3 prospects who may be destined to be Patriots

1. Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

For anyone who has seen the movie Draft Day, "Travis Hunter No Matter What" would be a great mantra for the Patriots to live by in the 2025 NFL Draft. At 6'1", 185 lbs. with ridiculous ball skills, one would have to think Hunter projects as an elite corner in the NFL.

The problem is, when you watch him play receiver, he also shows elite playmaking ability on offense. In the modern-day NFL, it’s hard to believe anyone could play both ways full-time. But at the very least, he could be a defensive starter and a contributor on the offensive side of the ball.

As a sophomore at Colorado, he recorded three interceptions and had five passes defended while recording 30 tackles (22 solo).

He caught 57 passes for 721 yards and five touchdowns with 12.6 yards per reception—a true two-way player. With Jonathan Jones turning 32 and set to be a free agent in 2025 if you can get a talent like Hunter, you do it and don’t think twice.

A duo of Hunter and Christian Gonzalez would be formidable for the Patriots’ defense for years to come. Add in the fact that New England has an unproven receiver core, and Hunter is the perfect target for the Patriots in the 2025 draft.

Hunter has only played 18 collegiate games in two years, nine of which are at the FBS level, so all eyes will be on his durability and progression in 2024 when he begins year two with Coach Prime at Colorado.
