When looking at the Patriots 2024 roster, there's a lot of potential despite the overall pessimistic narrative that the team won't do much of anything this year. They're a young, developing team with some great pieces who could be substantial parts of their success for years to come, fortunately, on all three units of the team.

One of the more undervalued parts of the entire team has to be the offense. Most assume there isn't much talent there because it's been labeled the weakest part of the roster.

However, with a young core and a handful of players expected to make a big jump this year, the Patriots are well-equipped to shock people this season. The team at Pro Football Focus believes that, too, at least when it comes to one player who they think will be a breakout star for the 2024 season.

Unexpected Patriots player makes PFF's All Breakout Team for 2024 season

Despite the offensive line being one of the more concerning units of the Patriots team, PFF has named second-year guard Sidy Sow to their 2024 All Breakout Team, as they expected him to build upon an impressive rookie season last year.

"Sow was the only rookie interior offensive lineman to earn a higher PFF run-blocking grade than Joe Tippmann in 2023, coming in at 71.3 and ranking 15th among all guards. He earned a PFF grade above 80.0 in four of his 13 starts."

The Eastern Michigan alum went under the radar last year, mainly due to the inconsistency of the offensive line as a whole. However, as noted by PFF, he put up impressive grades given his unfavorable situation.

It's crucial he lives up to the hype and the standard he set, even more so this year with a brand new offense and a new quarterback leading the way. He might even have a bigger role than expected, with Cole Strange dealing with a more serious injury than initially reported, which could be great news for the offense because of how solid Sow has been so far.
