Team loyalties and rivalries run deep in the NFL, which appears to be partly the case with Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill. He took to social media over the weekend to respond to a tweet that contained a graph asking what player fits the question.

The aggregator account wanted to know what player was incredibly hyped up by fans of the team he played on but didn't have much genuine talent.

Hill quoted the tweet and simply responded with Wes Welker, seemingly taking a shot at the former Patriots receiver.

Patriots fans weren't too pleased with his response, as Welker was a fantastic player for a good part of New England's dynasty years led by Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. But there is a bit of context that is being overlooked regarding why Hill likely chose Welker as his answer.

The former receiver is the current receivers coach for the Miami Dolphins, meaning he works with Hill nearly daily. He has also spoken highly of his new coach in the past, even advocating for him to remain with the Dolphins earlier this year.

Based on the replies from Dolphins fans, they caught the humor immediately. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for New England fans, who were upset about the presumed unnecessary shot at a fan favorite former player.

At the end of the day, though, this looks to be Hill's latest attempt at trolling or making a joke on his social media, which he has been known to do. Although that's fine, the punchline isn't always evident to everyone, as seen by the reaction from Patriots fans to this particular post.

The good thing is, it's all just fun and games. No harm was intended from his post; it doesn't mean much in the big scheme of things. It definitely won't help the Dolphins win more this upcoming season, that's for sure.
