Chris Hogan (2016 - 2018)

During the time that Chris Hogan was part of the Patriots offense, the team was far from short on talent. The former Bills receiver joined a roster led by Tom Brady, which was incredible in itself, along with Danny Amendola, LeGarrette Blount, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski.

Over the next two years, even more great players joined the team like Brandin Cooks and Josh Gordon, but Hogan always made sure to stand out above the rest, especially in crucial moments.

Like most Patriots receivers, Hogan's stats never jumped off the paper or made other teams wish they had him on the roster. However, Hogan became a staple in the offense during his three seasons, earning Tom Brady's trust due to his reliability and ability to consistently be open.

It earned him the nickname "7/11" because he was always open, like the convenience store.

Hogan was a solid addition to the team when the offense needed an extra boost in their continued pursuit of more championships, which made his clutch gene even more helpful.

Some of his most memorable performances came in the playoffs, starting in the 2016 season's road to Super Bowl 51. Hogan was the leading receiver in the AFC Championship against the Steelers, recording nine receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns. He nearly replicated that production during Super Bowl LII a year later, making six catches for 128 yards and a touchdown despite the eventual loss.

He was an incredibly underrated weapon during Brady's tenure in New England, especially considering the talent of the legendary Patriots he played with. But Hogan deserves to be recognized for all he did during the most successful years of his career, which just so happened to benefit the Patriots at the right time.
