Three moves to get the Patriots do the Super Bowl in 2023
2. Patriots should sign Yannick Ngakoue

I don't necessarily think that the Pats need to improve their pass rushers, considering Matt Judon and Josh Uche formed a nasty duo in 2022 and also because the team did draft Keion White in the 2023 NFL Draft, but there's an elite pass rusher still on the market.

Why not improve an already great unit? What's the harm here? Getting to the quarterback is one of the most important things a defense needs to do. We can just about say with certainty that the defense will be nearly elite in 2023 like it normally is, but why not add Ngakoue, who has never had less than 8.0 sacks in a season?

He's not much of a run defender, but playing him on certain packages, especially in second and third and longs could have a great effect on the rest of the defense. The Pats filled their cornerback need by taking Christian Gonzalez in the 2023 NFL Draft, so they don't really need help there.

I'd also say that pass rushers are a hair more valuable than cornerbacks, so why not add another? If the Pats can field one of the NFL's top defenses in 2023, that'll make the offenses job much easier.
