The 2024 Patriots offseason is essentially in the books excepting any last-minute trades. If Eliot Wolf goes with what he has, his offense still needs work. Regardless, his offseason moves in the draft made some headway. The offense should be improved and could be a lot better if this blueprint is followed.

Wolf went almost exclusively on offense in the draft. It was a sound strategy. While he expressed some ill-founded regrets for so doing, he did the right thing. The offenses in 2022 and 2023 stunk. The quarterback play was sorely lacking and shoring that up was Priority No. One. Wolf did that in style, drafting Drake Maye of North Carolina with the thrid-overall pick in the draft.

He also solidified a couple of other important positions, especially tackle and wide receiver generally, and guard. Still lacking are a left tackle and No. One wide receiver. These should have been priorities two and three of the offseason but went unmet. They were huge omissions and will be costly.

Whatever, let's try to project the best-starting offense that the Pats have available as the team now stands. This is not an exercise to predict, it's one to suggest. It represents the view from here of which starting 11 will give the Patriots the best chance to win. After all, what other objective is there?
