Patriots top 5 draft busts -- Where are they now?

Reviewing Patriots’ draft history for busts is like picking blueberries in Maine under the crisp September sun when the bushes are so laden with berries that you just have to stretch out your hand to get a mouthful. It is just too easy, and you wonder, “Isn’t this supposed to be harder?” It’s the same with selecting recent draft busts for the Patriots.

I limited my selections to 2017 to 2020 as the draft years 2021 through 2023 are too early to judge. I still found plenty of worthy choices in the former years. Since I retain an odd fondness for all players drafted by the Patriots, I gave an update on each player’s current status. I also picked an alternative player or two who might have offered a brighter future to Pats fans.
