Patriots third-round pick Marte Mapu is generating hype from offseason performance
The New England Patriots minicamp is in full swing this week, as practices picked back up again this past Monday.
During this time, certain players stand out and make a name for themselves. This time, it appears to be 2023 third-round pick Marte Mapu.
He has seen his stock rise early during offseason workouts so far, and the hype around him continues to grow.

Mapu, the 76th overall pick in the 2023 draft, has been a standout in minicamp for the Patriots and has garnered much media attention.
Although minicamp can lead to overreactions, Mapu may be a legit stud.
The linebacker/safety can do it all, as he has an elite skill set that features speed that separates him on the field. Mapu will be an essential utility player for the Patriots this season.

The Patriots picking Mapu shows that they recognize the need for speed at the linebacker position in the current NFL. Mapu fits the prototypical linebacker that most elite defenses currently have.
