Patriots Rumors: 3 QB trades New England should take a chance on

Trade Number 2: New England goes after Taylor Heinicke
The Atlanta Falcons are an intriguing team. They have one of the league's best defenses as it stands, coming in at number four overall in terms of yardage allowed per game. Offensively, the Falcons have some serious weaponry in Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Kyle Pitts.
But, quarterback Desmond Ridder has been inconsistent. He has definitely shown signs of improvement this season, having a couple of really good games. It seems as though, for now, the Falcons are going to roll with Ridder for the rest of the year, though some fans might want to see a move made at the deadline.
Other fans likely want to see what Taylor Heinicke can do, and that's where the Patriots come in. Heinicke is a capable quarterback with sneaky mobility, and has shown the ability to win games if given the opportunity. I think, under Bill Belichick, Heinicke would have a high chance of success.
Over his seven-year career, Heinicke has started 25 games and thrown for 5,745 yards, 34 touchdowns and 24 picks. He's also rushed for 464 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
