If you have been reading our work, the New England Patriots offense has been struggling to start training camp. With the addition of Bill O'Brien as the team's offensive coordinator, there was hope and optimism that the Patriots' offense would be vastly improved.

We finally saw some of that hope come to fruition on Wednesday, with the offense having their best day of training camp.

According to this tweet above by Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, both quarterbacks had great days. The former first-round pick Mac Jones was 13 for 15 on the day, while current backup ( so we think) quarterback Bailey Zappe was 12 of 14.

Both were extremely successful on the day and had their best practices of training camp. In the red zone team period, the former Alabama Crimson Tide stand-out found wide receivers Devante Parker and Juju Smith-Schuster for touchdowns.

When speaking with NFL Network's Tom Peliserro Mac Jones dropped a line that has gone viral across Patriots nation.

When asked about his work ethic and how he was one of the first on the field and one of the last to leave the field, Jones said, "The speed of the pack is the speed of the leader." It is nice to see Jones taking command of the team and getting the extra work in to help move the Patriots' offense in the right direction for 2023.

The third-year pro is continuing to put a stranglehold on the job under center making sure it is his job to lose.

The Patriots' first preseason game is a week from Thursday against the Houston Texans at 7 PM EST. It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff manages the usage of the two gunslingers during the preseason and if this quarterback position is truly a camp battle.
