The mind of Bill Belichick

No matter what the naysayers try to convince themselves of, you cannot count out a team that Bill Belichick is coaching, no matter what.

Although the Patriots haven't seen the same success they had during the years of Tom Brady, the experience and knowledge of Belichick remains and will always be an advantage for New England. Not only has he accomplished more than any other head coach, but he's also seen virtually everything during his nearly 50 years of coaching in the NFL.

On top of that, the changes made to the offensive staff during the offseason take a lot of focus away from Belichick. He didn't have the luxury of last season. Because of the inexperience of Matt Patricia and the ineptitude of Joe Judge, he had to spend a lot of time smoothing things over for the offense, taking his mind off of the bigger picture: the team in its entirety.

The additions of Bill O'Brien and Adrian Klemm provide him the security of knowing the offense is in good hands, allowing him to spend time doing what he needs and does best. This could become a bigger problem for most teams the Patriots face this season, especially those lucky enough to deal with the struggling team of last season.

The games will have Belichick's full attention now, and we know what kind of results that brings for the Patriots.
