With the 2023 NFL regular season over, some teams are already focusing on next year. Unfortunately for the Patriots, who missed the playoffs for the second year in a row, that mindset applies to them.

Because of that, the finalization of New England's 2024 schedule has now been finalized. They will be playing the AFC South and the NFC West next year, which may be more competitive than in years past.

The biggest takeaway from looking at next year's opponents is the number of playoff teams or ones who just barely missed making the postseason, that they'll be facing. The league is becoming much more competitive each and every year, and the Patriots will hopefully have a good offseason to catch up and join the trend.

They'll also have one extra away game, which they were fortunate enough to not deal with in 2023.

One of the cool things about the NFL is that it releases future opponents years in advance. Because of that, we know the Patriots will match up with the AFC North and NFC South in 2025. Plus, three more opponents will later be identified based on the results of the 2024 season, so we'll have to wait a bit until we know those definitively.

But for now, we know which divisions they will be from AFC West, AFC South, and NFC East.
