Patriots fans are ecstatic with Javon Baker selection in NFL Draft

One of the most desired outcome of the Patriots 2024 Draft according to the fans was to leave the draft with game-changing weapons for what has been a lackluster offense. Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf have prioritized the offensive roster throughout the weekend so far with their five first picks.

After selecting receiver Ja'Lynn Polk in Round 2, they double-dipped at the position by drafting UCF's Javon Baker in Round 4. He was projected to go a bit higher, but the Patriots lucked out with him remaining on the board for their second fourth round pick.

They have now added a true X to their receiving corps, and Baker's explosiveness will add an even better element to the locker room.

One of the best parts about Baker's addition is the reaction from Patriots fans, who have had quite a roller coaster of emotions throughout the Draft over the last three days.

We know New England fans can be fickle, and many still are despite their seemingly excellent draft so far. But a majority of Patriots Nation appeared to be in agreeance in their excitement over Baker's pick, taking to social media to share their thoughts.

It's not easy to get Patriots fans to collectively agree that a good player was coming to the team. But because of the type of player Baker is, the excitement appears to be unavoidable.
