Now that the NFL Combine has come and gone, there are a lot of new players the Patriots should be taking a look at based on their performances over the weekend.

They're in a great position to select some of the best talent of the class and can easily put together an explosive offense for the 2024 season.

That's what they'll do in this 7-round mock draft.

Round 1 Pick No. 3: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Despite the nonstop rumors about trading away their first-round pick, the Patriots stay at No. 3 and get their next franchise quarterback, Jayden Daniels. They could get a great return by swapping their pick with another team needing a quarterback, like the Raiders or Vikings. But you can't be very successful in the NFL without a quarterback, and that's where the Patriots are right now.

Not much has changed regarding Daniels' talent since he was only in attendance for interviews and speaking with reporters over the weekend, which oddly benefits New England. They are reportedly even higher on him after speaking with him and will have the chance to really evaluate him at LSU's Pro Day.

Selecting Daniels would solidify a new era under Jerod Mayo, as he is a vastly different quarterback than what has historically been the play style in Foxboro. He's a dual-threat player who has a great arm and constantly impresses by extending plays with his legs.

He fits the mold of the new quarterback in the NFL and would immediately put the team on the map because of it.
