Patriots 7-Round Mock Draft: Offense is revitalized with game-changing weapons
By Rhys Knott
Patriots select QB Jason Bean out of Kansas with 181st pick
Bean is one inch shorter than Brissett and 40 lbs. lighter. But that's fine. They have a weight room at Gillette Stadium, and he is going to be a developmental quarterback learning from the veteran, so he'll bulk up while he's the understudy.
But on the field, there is a lot of Brissett about Bean. They have very similar throwing motions. Bean is just quicker; he has a quicker arm, and he moves around the field a lot quicker and smoother than Brissett. But he should; he's 40 lbs. lighter, remember? and moves around the field much
In his last two years as a Jayhawk, Bena threw 32 touchdown passes and just 11 interceptions. The only two quarterbacks who have declared for the draft and had a better passed rating than Bean are Bo Nix and Heisman winner Jayden Daniels!
Bean also scored nine rushing touchdowns and averaged 5.1 yards per carry at Kansas.
