Patriots select WR Xavier Worthy from Texas with 68th pick

Why wouldn’t you want a receiver who can take the top off a defense? Worthy just broke John Ross’ record for the 40-yard dash at the combine, which is definitely going to make defensive backs take a step or two back. 

Worthy is more than a speedster, though. He can really catch a ball, too (and that’s not something you could always say about John Ross). He’s a lot more physical than someone who is just 160 lbs should be. He can catch passes while being grabbed and manhandled by defenders. In that respect, Worthy is quite similar to DeVonta Smith, and he’s had a decent start to his NFL career.
