TRADE!

The Patriots make another trade, this time with the Giants. They trade their 68th overall pick, pick 182, and a second-rounder in 2025 for the 47th pick to select a wide receiver.

Completing the circle of biggest offensive needs, the Patriots decide to go all-in by making another big trade to take a wide receiver with a very famous dad, Brenden Rice.

Of course, his father is the legendary Jerry Rice, and that may spell trouble for some. But Brenden made a name for himself during his years at USC to create his identity and escape his father's shadow.

After transferring to Southern California from Colorado, the wide receiver has improved his craft every year. He had his most productive season in 2023, recording 45 receptions for 791 yards and 12 touchdowns while averaging 17.6 yards per catch. It was an impressive jump from his performance the year before, which is an essential trait for any player hoping to be successful in the NFL.

Rice would add a unique element to the receiving corps the Patriots have signed for the 2024 season, and could be a great complementary piece for a veteran they choose to sign in free agency.
