Patriots 7-Round Mock Draft: Double-dip at receiver puts offense over the top

Patriots select Isaac Guerendo, RB, Louisville, with pick No. 137
The Louisville product projects as a fifth-round pick, and he’s ranked as the 13th best prospect by PFF. The Patriots will have the 137th overall pick when the fifth round rolls around.
Now you know why Guerendo is popping up in so many normal Patriots mock drafts. Guerendo is a converted wide receiver, and he doesn’t always anticipate running lanes opening up, but when he does find himself in a gap, he can explode to the second level.
He averaged 6.1 yards per carry and 10.6 yards per reception in 2023 and scored 11 touchdowns. His 4.33-second 40-yard time at the combine is the same time D.K. Metcalf and Mecole Hardman ran.
