New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner recently spoke about the New England Patriots, and had some interesting words to say about the team's offense. The Patriots have won about 418 straight games against the Jets, but it seems as of some of their players still want to run their mouths about the matchup.

The Patriots will travel to MetLife to face off against the Jets in Week 3 of the 2023 NFL season. It's a 1:00 p.m. start time and seems to be a must-win for the Pats, who are already in an 0-2 hole. The Miami Dolphins are 2-0, which means the Patriots already face a two-game deficit in the AFC East standings. Not good.

The New York Jets selected Sauce Gardner in the 2022 NFL Draft, and he quickly became one of the better cornerbacks in the league, winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Gardner was asked about the Patriots recently, and this is what he had to say about the team:

"“They don't really have a complex offense. It's pretty simple for the quarterback to get. The gap scheme, everything is really simple. But they excel at it. What they try to do is get other people to mess up and make mistakes. They just do everything right."

Gardner claims that the Patriots don't "really have a complex offense." Is he right? Well, if that is the case, perhaps the Pats offense and its personnel isn't nearly as good as they need to be. New England has been a bit inconsistent this year offensively, which includes a struggling run game.

To be fair, they've already had to endure injuries along their offensive line, and I think this play below really illustrates how bad the offensive line has been thus far:

The right tackle in this play is Calvin Anderson, who came over from the Denver Broncos this past offseason. Honestly, this play from Anderson is pathetic. It looks like he's just running around aimlessly. Well, if the Patriots don't have a complex offense, maybe they need to install one...
