Offensive Coordinator Bill O'Brien will not return in 2024

Let's be honest, for a moment. This list should actually be about Patriots who should not return next season. But, I am going out on a limb and predicting that Robert Kraft will make the decisions necessary for the future of this franchise.

Bill O'Brien does not belong in the NFL, at least as an offensive coordinator. The Patriots do not look much better than they did a season ago under Matt Patricia at the same position. New England is the sixth-worst offense in football as we speak, and with the personnel they have, they shouldn't be that bad.

O'Brien needs to go, and he likely will, because this next guy is also on his way out as the Patriots clean house.

Head Coach Bill Belichick will not return in 2024

If the Patriots indeed finish this year with a losing record, that would make it three out of the last four seasons New England has not finished above .500. And, although Belichick reportedly signed an extension with the club, nobody knows how long the extension was for, nor do we know the details in terms of financials.

The fact of the matter is, the game has passed Bill Belichick by. And, if I can be so bold as to say, it's looking more and more like Tom Brady was the reason behind this team's success for so many years. It wasn't necessarily Belichick. Since Brady's departure, this team has been a mess.

Belichick will still go down as an all-time great and a legend in this sport, but the Patriots have to cut ties and start moving into a new era.
