New England Patriots 2023 practice squad tracker
Now that the Patriots have finalized their 53-man roster for the 2023 season, there are still moves to make with waiver claims and practice squad additions.
There were several surprising moves made as they were building their team, like waiving Malik Cunningham and Bailey Zappe, which left Mac Jones as the lone quarterback on the team. But Bill Belichick is reportedly far from done adding to the team.
Waiver claims
In another shocking move, the Patriots did not claim a single player, nor did they lose a player they waived. Considering the cuts they made yesterday and some of the specific players they waived, it seemed there was an intention to claim a few that became available via other teams.
Many predicted they would claim a tight end or a quarterback, two positions with no depth, but Belichick must have other plans in mind.
