One of the biggest stories of the 2023 offseason surrounded the implosion between Aaron Rodgers and his longtime team the Green Bay Packers, as the quarterback was doing all that he could to force his way out of Wisconsin on his terms and his terms only.

Rumors had suggested for quite some time that the quarterback and head coach Matt LaFleur butted heads about what was best for the team, with the Packers draft decisions being put under the microscope every year. Rodgers demanded to get what he wanted, which was a first round receiver, but the Packers never complied and instead took quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 draft.

That appears to have been the tipping point for Rodgers, only taking three more years to worm his way out of the team he played for since he was drafted in 2005.

So when the trade was made to send him to his most desired team, the New York Jets, it was a dominating story for the rest of the offseason. The assumption was that Rodgers' arrival in the AFC East put the rest of the teams on notice because why wouldn't the guy who won a single Super Bowl in his 18-year career instill fear in the divisional competition?

Because he had become such a reported issue during his final year with the Packers, it was assumed things weren't going to be peachy for the Jets, which has been proven right since the quarterback arrived in New York.

Rumors have swirled since, and the latest chatter doesn't paint a much better image ahead of the 2024 season, which will be Rodgers' first full year as a Jet since he missed the entirety of last year due to an injury sustained on the first play of the first game.

The Jets might already be regretting trading for Aaron Rodgers, much to the delight of Patriots fans

The honeymoon phase has appeared to end much sooner than the Jets anticipated with their new quarterback, at least according to an NFL agent who spoke to Ben Standig of The Athletic, who wrote about the most recent issues the team has been dealing with due to Rodgers' alleged behavior.

According to a survey conducted by Standig of 31 NFL agents, one revealed that the Jets are an absolute disaster this offseason, mainly due to the amount of power they gave to Rodgers and the excuses they made for his problematic behavior.

"There is complete disarray over there. Look at how they've handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had more power than him? He skipped minicamp. They have been unable to convert him into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible."

Although this is just hearsay, it goes along with all the issues that were said to be going on behind the scenes before Rodgers was traded from the Packers. It was part of the reason they were willing to trade their star quarterback, and it looks like he has continued to act that way with his new team.

This is significant for the Patriots, who are believed to be the worst team in the AFC East and are projected to be dominated by the others in the division, mostly the Jets.

If Rodgers does not conduct himself appropriately with his team, it could create friction and problems with his coaches and/or teammates, ultimately resulting in poorer play on the field. That's a big plus for New England, as they hope to stack some wins this fall.

Furthermore, it reassures fans who may have been disappointed by Bill Belichick's lack of interest in acquiring Rodgers when he was looking to be traded that the right decision was made. Although the quarterback didn't want to play for New England, Belichick is known to be a fan and could have tried to get him to come, but thankfully, that never happened.

Now, Patriots fans can enjoy the potential implosion of one of their biggest rivals because the Jets will always find a way to Jet.
