After what has been an ever-changing offseason in New England, it's finally the moment for the Patriots to take the field for the first time in the Jerod Mayo era. The team is set to welcome the Carolina Panthers to Gillette Stadium on Thursday night in their first preseason matchup of the summer.

It will be a far more exciting game than a typical preseason bout, as both teams hope to get back on track under new head coaches, plenty of new roster talent, and a proper foundation to build upon.

The Patriots hope to accomplish that with an entirely new coaching staff and with all their marbles in on Drake Maye, who will reportedly get some reps during his game. Jacoby Brissett remains the starter, and beyond the quarterbacks, Mayo stated everyone will have a chance to play in this game.
