Two former New England Patriots, Julian Edelman and James White, made their feelings clear about the team after the Pats suffered a horrible loss in Week 10 versus the Indianapolis Colts. Week 10 was about as bad as it can possibly get for the Patriots, which is saying something. Against a backup QB and one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Pats managed to somehow not score double-digit points.

In a 10-6 loss, nothing seemed to be working, especially on offense. And their weird decision in the first half to go all-out for a failed punt block was a puzzling and costly move that essentially cost them 20 yards of field position. Among many other parts of this game that contributed to the loss, the Pats offensive line allowed five sacks, and the Pats' defense was not able to sack Gardner Minshew, a backup QB.

Well, former greats Julian Edelman and James White, both crucial pieces to the Patriots Super Bowl titles during the 2010s, made their feelings very well-known about the state of this organization. Here's what they tweeted; short and simple:

When you have franchise legends coming out like this, you know it's bad. Julian Edelman was short and to the point with his take. "That was bad," indeed, Jules, it was. Mac Jones has had a ton of excuses made for him for multiple years now, and it's about time to recognize that he is not the answer and might not be more than a backup QB.

The defense has a few nice core players the team can build with, but the amount of issues that this team has overall has become their undoing. Right now, the Patriots hold the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, so they might be in a spot to land a new QB like Drake Maye or Caleb Williams. Now headed into their bye week, I would not be surprised to see the team make a move at head coach.

Removing Bill Belichick from his HC duties and putting Jerod Mayo in as the interim HC is probably something that needs to happen. Robert Kraft should not be afraid to make this bold move after another embarrassing performance.
