Throughout the NFL's existence, uniforms have often changed for each team, with some not receiving the most favorable feedback. The Patriots' uniforms didn't change much during the Tom Brady era, so when he left the team four years ago, they would inevitably introduce a new look.

That's when we saw the debut of navy jerseys with navy pants, a completely different style from the typical navy home jersey with silver pants.

At first, it was reminiscent of the color rush uniforms from years past, which fans were not fond of, so making them the permanent home style was not well received. That remains the unanimous opinion around New England especially when the team wears the throwback reds, a uniform we wish would be implemented more often.

It became a talking point again in recent days as the first photos of rookies Drake Maye, Joe Milton III, and Ja'Lynn Polk were pictured in their first Patriots uniforms. It prompted many fans to reignite the demand to get rid of the current home look and, at the very least, bring the silver pants back.

Robert Kraft could really make the Patriots 2024 offseason the time for change with new uniforms

Now that it's officially a new era, it would be a great time for the organization to extend its complete overhaul to the uniforms. It would somewhat represent a clean slate and add to the several positive changes the team has undergone this offseason.

It could give the team a new identity, which Jerod Mayo has stressed his desire to bring as the new head coach over the last few months. The more lax atmosphere in Foxboro has brought this to fruition, and a uniform makeover could be like the cherry on top.

Whether or not it will happen is hard to say, but maybe if fans continue to voice their desires for a change, they'll eventually listen.
