An unfortunate pattern continues during the latest NFL offseason with countless players suffering serious injury at practice or preseason games, some of which forcing them to miss the entire upcoming season. For the most part, the Patriots have been lucky in that regard, with their roster not dealing with the same fate.

However, they have already dealt with one significant loss with the news of Christian Barmore, who was diagnosed with blood clots late last month.

Given the team's recent history with David Andrews missing the entire 2019 season due to the same diagnosis. While we don't know if their health issues are similar enough to conclude that Barmore will also miss all 17 games, history is not on his side to make a triumphant return before or during the season.

There was a small update regarding the defensive tackle, however, as he was present for the Patriots' joint practice on Tuesday with the Eagles. It was the first time the fans and team had seen Barmore since he was hospitalized for his health last month.

Although he didn't speak to reporters nor did the coaching staff provide any new information regarding his status for the 2024 season, Barmore did take to social media on Tuesday night to hint at what's to come for his playing future.

Christian Barmore's Instagram post seems to hint that his 2024 season is over before it begins

After reuniting with his teammates on the practice field earlier in the day, Barmore posted a video to his Instagram stories that contained a song with potentially very telling lyrics.

Maybe it's looking too much between the lines and trying to interpret something that wasn't anything more than a random song choice, but given the timing of the post and the state of his football career, it seems fair to assume it is all related.

Despite the assumption that his health would force him to sit out the entire upcoming season, it's heartbreaking to see that possibly confirmed by Barmore with this post. It's not only a huge loss for the Patriots front seven but a devastating loss for the 25-year-old who just recently signed a massive contract extension.

The only silver lining of the entire situation is that Barmore's health was prioritized by Patriots staff and dealt with accordingly, hopefully ensuring he will have a healthier life moving forward and a longer NFL career.
