Washington Commanders need to shed Ron Rivera and look elsewhere...
Like the Chicago Bears, the Washington Commanders are also an inept franchise that needs some new life. Ron Rivera is a bad head coach and has not had a winning record since 2017. It's time for the Commanders to blow their operation up from the top, down. Well, there was a report that the Commanders could trade for the future Hall of Fame head coach next offseason.
They may not have to if Belichick is out of a job. I do think Washington would pay Belichick whatever he wants, and I even think they'd give him say on the roster, too, even though I personally think that would be a bad idea. The Commanders may also have a QB in place with Sam Howell, so Belichick might have the hardest position on the roster settled.
There are also new owners in Washington, and I bet they want to leave an early impression. There were already rumors that the team could undergo another name change since the Commanders name was a part of the previous, controversial ownership group.
