5 wide receivers the Patriots should avoid in free agency
By Rhys Knott
Curtis Samuel
Samuel could actually turn out to be a great reclamation project. But he’ll be 28 when the regular season begins, and his best season was four years ago. He will also cost around $11 million to $12 million per season!
Like Shenault, Samuel has never really played for a good team. He spent four years in Carolina before signing for the Washington Football Team (as they were then) in 2021. Even so, he’s only played two full seasons in his seven-year career and never scored more than seven touchdowns in a season. And he hasn’t done that since 2019!
