Patriots should not draft: Taliese Fuaga
Only two of the 2023 Patriots' offensive linemen are under 300 pounds. If they keep the current coaching staff and continue to rely on the screen passing game, they need to retool the offensive front. The five highest-rated offensive linemen in the 2023 class are all powerful and well over 300.
Taliese Fuaga from Oregon State weighs in at 334 pounds; only two of the Patriots' current linemen are heavier than him! But his 5.20 40-yard time is only marginally quicker than the time Trent Brown clocked as a rookie. And Brown hasn’t looked comfortable in the Patriots’ current offense.
Fuaga looks mobile against other college athletes, but the ones in the NFL are a little bit faster and able to avoid blockers in space.
