Laiatu Latu - UCLA

Latu, on the other hand, is projected to go in the top 11 or 12 picks of the first round (although he certainly looks like a top-10 talent). And it’s doubtful that the Patriots will spend their 3rd overall pick on him. Although it’s not inconceivable, they trade back to get some extra picks.

If they do, Latu would be a welcome addition. He makes rushing the passer look effortless. He’s so quick that he seems to take some blockers by surprise. And even when he is double-teamed, and blockers get their hands on him, he moves them backward toward the quarterback.

He reportedly ran a 4.62-second 40-yard dash; he’s a very smooth mover. And he has the reach to affect a quarterback's passing motion and bat-down passes. His coverage skills aren’t exactly polished, but he is only 23, so there’s plenty of time to learn. He’s going to be a great defender for someone.
