Jason Peters

Some might say the Patriots need a fairy godmother to get them to the playoffs. Well, there might not be an NFL fairy godmother, but there is an NFL Godfather. He’s 6 feet 4 inches, weighs in at 328lbs, plays offensive tackle, and is in his 19th season in the league.

Jason Peters isn’t just older than God; he also blocks like a wondrous celestial being. The veteran will be 42 by the time the Super Bowl rolls around, but he still wants to play. He was in Dallas last season, and while he only started one game, he played 235 snaps.

However, Peters’ age hasn’t diminished his ability to perform at the highest level. He hasn’t been flagged for a penalty since 2019! The Patriots have already given up eight holding penalties this season. And six false start penalties.

Peters was on the Seahawks practice squad for the first month of the season. But he’s about to be signed to the active roster, so this ship has probably sailed unless the Seahawks are in the market for a future seventh-round pick.
