JuJu Smith-Schuster

Despite an overall promising performance by the Patriots team in its entirety last week, for some reason, the media decided to throw JuJu Smith-Schuster under the bus with new rumors.

Besides the sources claiming Bill Belichick and Bill O'Brien have already deemed the receiver not to be top quality on the team, there was a reason he was signed, and we are yet to see that on the field since he did spend much of the preseason rehabbing a knee injury.

He wasn't kept on the sidelines or benched in his New England debut, as the media has attempted to imply. He went 4/7 for 33 yards, with his longest reception of the day being 15 yards. It certainly wasn't much for the expected WR1, but much like another new member of the Patriots roster, it wasn't incredibly unexpected either.

Entering week two with some experience under his belt, it would be nice to see Smith-Schuster used more, especially if DeVante Parker remains out. We know the type of player that JuJu can be, and since some are still upset about Jakobi Meyers signing elsewhere, it would be great to see exactly why he is a good fit and a worthy signing.
