Ezekiel Elliott

We need to see more of Ezekiel Elliott in this game for multiple reasons, but the most obvious reason is that he wasn't used a ton in his debut last week. On top of that, he coughed up a fumble, which led to another Eagles touchdown, so it's a good time to see if Elliott can redeem himself a week later.

Although it's not unexpected for a newer player on the team to be slowly integrated, making Elliott's performance a bit understandable, the first month of the season will not be easy. The offense will need all the help it can get, and the running back is too talented and versatile not to be utilized more on game day.

He was expected to be used less in the run game because of Rhamondre Stevenson, and he was with just seven carries to Stevenson's 12, but did total more yards with 29. Elliott was also used sparingly in the passing game, where his counterpart shined, and maybe the fumble did keep him sidelined a bit more than the initial game plan.

Now that the Dolphins are coming to town and their defense looked incredibly weak against the run when they visited the Chargers a week ago, allowing 233 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, it seems easy to assume we will see more Elliott in week two.

Because he is an impressive player, hopefully, he can help dominate on the ground and be a helpful weapon in the red zone, whether in the run game or as a receiver. The Patriots will need all the help they can get to get their first win of the season, and Elliott could be crucial to get that done.
