3 disastrous scenarios for the New England Patriots in the 2023 season

3. More internal dysfunction comes to light

There has been some dysfunction within the organization that has come out into the public over the last year or so. One of the biggest ones was the apparent iffy relationship between Mac Jones and Bill Belichick, which apparently began when Jones sought help from outside the organization in 2022.

There are also some of the public comments that seem to indicate a strained relationship between Belichick and Robert Kraft. This could mean that there is even more dynsfunction internally that we aren't hearing about.

Well, a disastrous scenario I can see playing out in 2023 is some more of this dysfunction coming to light if the Patriots are not winning as they'd like. Obviously if the team is winning games, we surely won't hear much of anything about what is happening within the organization.

However, if the team is losing more, we'd surely be getting "reports" from people with knowledge of the team about what could be happening. We'd probably experience reports of relationships between staffers declining and maybe even a poor situation developing in the locker room.

I think there's clear proof that the franchise, internally, was not all sunshine and rainbows in 2022, and the team was in the playoff hunt until the last stretch of the season. Well, what if 2023 goes even worse? Just imagine how bad it could get...
