3 bold predictions for Patriots versus Giants in Week 12

The New England Patriots face off against the New York Giants in Week 12. Let's make three bold predictions for the matchup.

New York Giants' QB Tommy DeVito throws for multiple touchdown passes

The New York Giants are down to their 57th-string QB in Tommy DeVito, a player who apparently still lives at home and has his mother make his bed and cook his meals. Well, even though DeVito is living like a young high schooler, he did play very well against the Washington Commanders in Week 11, throwing for 246 yards and three TD passes. His passer rating of 137.7 was stellar.

The Patriots' defense hasn't been great this year. Rookie CB Christian Gonzalez has been out for weeks now, and the team recently cut CB Jack Jones. I don't think this is going to be a great matchup for the Patriots unless their pass rush, without Matthew Judon, can get home. Tommy DeVito carving up the Patriots also sounds like something that the team would have to endure given how they've played this year.

Someone NOT named Mac Jones starts at QB for the New England Patriots

My final bold prediction is that someone NOT named Mac Jones starts at QB for the New England Patriots in Week 12. At this point, the team is done. There's no avenue where the Pats make the playoffs, so why not see what you have in other guys? Heck, start Mike Onwenu at QB for all I care.

Various reports and rumors indicate that Mac Jones has lost the locker room, and he really doesn't deserve to stay in the lineup with his play this year. Starting Bailey Zappe or Will Grier might not sound sexy, but it would make for a fun story.
