The hype around the Patriots' upcoming season continues to reach new heights as the offseason progresses and the regular season nears. Besides the optimism surrounding the roster stemming from their performances at training camp, some of the more notable showings from their preseason opener already have the Patriots' upcoming opponents nervous about what they'll face this year.

Some of that revolves around the hopeful second-year jump of quarterback Drake Maye, especially now that he will have Mike Vrabel as his head coach and Josh McDaniels running the offense. The same can be said about rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson, who has been a nonstop headline maker since he joined the team earlier this year.

His training camp performances have caught the attention of the Patriots' division, with Bills fans already expressing their fear of the defense having to properly prepare for his explosive skillset, and his standout game against the Commanders last week will only make that feeling worse.

Bills fans are already shaking in their boots over what the Patriots will do on offense this season

Over the last five years, since Tom Brady's departure, the Bills have had an easy ride to the top of the AFC East, and they hope to continue that in 2025. Unfortunately for them, that might not be in the cards for them, as the belief in the Patriots continues to rise as the weeks go on.

Although only a few analysts believe New England could dethrone Buffalo from atop the division, they do think they will be a much stronger opponent for the Bills to deal with, and they won't be easy to take down. That appears even more true with the addition of Henderson to the offense, which already has fans concerned about how their defense will fare against the dual-threat running back.

On top of what he can do on the ground, Henderson is also going to be a problem in the passing game and he can be utilized as a another blocker on the offensive line. That spells immediate trouble for the Patriots future opponents, who have typically overlooked playing the one time AFC rules for the past five years.

With Vrabel in charge and determined to make them a competitive team again, they will not be the laughing stock of the league anymore, which is not what Bills fans want to hear. They hoped to reign supreme over the division for much longer than just five years, but they'll now have direct competition again as soon as this fall.
